Empire Electric Cinema

The Royal Prince of Wales Theatre was a medium sized hall, located opposite the Great Western Railway’s Vine Street Station. It was taken over by Jack Hutton in 1910. It replaced his Rockingham Hall which he had operated as a cinema in 1909. He re-named in Empire Electric Cinema.

The Empire Electic Cinema was closed in 1933, and was converted into a fire station.

It has since been demolished.
