Located on The Broadway near the corner of Merton Road. The Apollo Electric Theatre was opened around 1911, in a previously built hall. Soon known as the Apollo Theatre, it was operated by Screens Ltd. It was taken over by new owners in 1927 and re-named Prince’s Cinema. Around 1930 it was equipped with an AWH sound system.
The operators of the Elite Cinema took over in 1928. It was listed as ‘Closed’ in 1937.
In 2009, the building is in use as Confucious Chinese Restaurant.
