Cine Magerit

Located in the Distrito Federal in central Mexico City. The Cine Magerit was opened on 10th January 1941. The building was once a grand house, which had been transformed into a cinema.

It was closed and demolished (apart from the facade) in 1955, and the new 2,750-seat Cine Variedades was built on the site and opened in February 1956.

The Cine Variedades auditorium has now been demolished, leaving only the facade and lobby, which are in a poor condition in 2012.
