The Capitole Cinema Theatre was one of the major cinemas in the centre of Beirut. It opened around 1949/1950. It had beautiful terrazzo floors, marble walls and elaborate ironwork in its decoration. Seating was provided in orchestra and balcony levels.
Live theatre productions were also staged at the Capitole Cinema Theatre, and this continued until at least 1963.
