The Anderson Drive-In was open in 1950 with a 500 car capacity. By the mid-1950’s it was named the South Drive-In and operated by Alliance Theater Corp. By the mid-1970’s it was operated by Cinecom and the drive-in closed sometime in the 1980’s.
The drive-in site is now occupied by the Blue Grass Farms.

I think the theater was located where WAXT radio station use to reside on 53rd St. The new radio station is located west of the original station.
According to the old topo maps, it appeared that the South Drive-In sat a bit “crooked” for lack of a better word.
Instead of running due north/south, it appears that the drive-in was laid out SW to NE just like Blue Grass Farms is today which sits on the site.
