This was at 4700 17th Avenue SW. It opened on July 26th, 1954 and closed in 1979. Grand opening ad and aerial in the photo section.

Closed in(1980?). Site is now Alberta Motor Association and a condo complex.

Lol.So lucky Arte,Had I lived that close to A drive-in I probably never would have gotten out of middle school.

I lived on 45 St. across the road from this drive-in. The sound from the speakers was loud enough at times that I could sit on a hill outside the fence and watch movies for free. Saw Jaws there (the proper way, in a car!) Jun.25/75.

Looking at the ads this seemed to be one of the popular Drive-ins in Calgary.
