Odeon Drive-In

Odeon Theatres opened this drive-in on September 20, 1963 with Doris Day in “The "The Thrill of It All” & Edward Judd in “Mystery Submarine”. The car capacity listed for this drive-in was 998 cars.

The theatre went through various Odeon operators through its life, Odeon, Canadian Odeon and finally Cineplex Odeon. The drive-in closed in September 2007 and from what I found it has since been demolished.

Opened with “The thrill of it all” and “Mystery Submarine”. The site is now an empty field. The drive-in was also used for church services.

This theatre is actually in Headingley, not Winnipeg. The older, more accurate and complete listing is here: http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/2126
