Opened as the Highland Drive-In in the mid-1950’s, changed names to the Hyland Drive-In in 1965 and became the Odeon Drive-In in the mid-1970’s and was operated by Odeon Theatres. In the early-1990’s Empire Theatres took over operations and it became the Empire Drive-In. Car capacity is listed at 504 and the drive-in featured first run attractions until it closed in 2013.
By June 2023 it had reopened as the Shoebox Drive-In.

This theatre was closed in 2013, now slated for redevelopment by Empire.
The Highland Drive-In Was Still In Operation In The Mid-1950’s, The Highland Drive-In My Best Guess Was Opened Sometime In 1950 And It Is Operated By Odeon Garson Theatres. It Was At The Time The Jubilee Drive-In Near Stellarton Was Still In Operational After Its Opening In 1951.
This actually appears to have re-opened because its currently operational, its now called Shoebox Drive-in. Website address is https://www.shoeboxdrivein.ca/ and the approximate address is 159 Truro Rd, Westville.
