According to an article published by the Nanfang Daily on 27th September, 2011, the Kang Fa Terrace Cinema was one of the earliest cinemas to be built in Canton in the early-1910’s. Kang Fa is the Cantonese pronunciation of its Chinese name, literally meaning “flowers reflected in mirrors”. The exact English name of the cinema if any is unknown. Its exact opening and closing date, location and number of seats are all pending further research.
