The Cinemark Cypress opened on December 16th, 2005. Grand opening ad posted.

Nope. This building started out as a 12 screener (hence the name), but the XD auditorium was later added on to one end and is a 13th auditorium. Same scenario as the Cinemarks in Pearland TX and Mansfield TX….a 12 screen complex had a 13th [XD] auditorium added on to one end of the building.

I learned today that the XD auditorium is actually an addition to the building. I haven’t been inside, but I assume they carved out one of the existing regular theatres to provide access to the XD screen, keeping the total count at 12.
