Queens Cinema

Located at the corner of Queen Victoria Street & Castle Street in the South Wales town of Tredegar, Monmouthshire. The Queens Cinema was an early purpose built cinema, opened around 1910. It had a decorative plaster facade. It had closed by 1937, and had been in use as a roller skating rink, then the Queens Ballroom. Later operating as a nightclub, known as Spatz and Marsh’s.

It operated in recent years as the Intrim, a fitness centre and function suite, where dances and social events were held. Today operating as the Ironworks Gym & Bar, which has a 150 seat function room.
