The building was one story and when a second story was added the theatre was on the second floor. This was in about 1915 and was open till 1925.

Gray & Holt Dry Goods, Inc., founded in 1934 is now in the building. They use orginal silent movie chairs for seats to sit on when trying on shoes and have on display original silent movie posters that were discovered in the attic several years ago.

I’ve been in this store, they have lots of neat stuff and it you need a T shirt this is the place to go!

The Dixie Theatre was listed in the 1914-1915 American Motion Picture Directory.
