A neighborhood second run theater on the southside of Columbus, Ohio. The Ideal Theater opened on November 16, 1939 with Dick Powell in “Naughty but Nice” & Frankie Darrow in “Tough Kid” 1939, according to Phil Sheridan. The last Columbus Dispatch movie showtime listing was on Saturday, November 15, 1958.

Today, the building is a union hall.

The Ideal Theatre opened on November 16th, 1939. Grand opening ad posed.
