The Towne Cinema Centre in Edmonton opened on November 5, 1969 with one screen seating 515. The theatre was triplexed on September 21, 1984 with seating capacity of 292, 140 and 68 in each respective theatre. The Towne Cinema Centre was closed in 1985.

According to the 1986 edition of the Canadian Film Digest Yearbook, May Theatres (1984) Ltd. ran the Towne for a brief period after Landmark sold the theatre up until the Towne closed.
This opened on November 5th, 1969 and reopened with 3 cinemas on September 21st, 1984 and closed in 1985. Grand opening ads in the photo section.
