Pacific Theatres 1,500 seat La Mirada 4 opened on August 20, 1975. The original La Mirada Theatre outside of the mall closed the day before. On June 13, 1980 two more auditoriums opened, which were adjacent to but detached from the other 4 auditoriums.
In 1990 La Mirada 6 closed and La Mirada Mall was leveled.

Those 1500 seats must have been of all four screens combined. The 5th and 6th screens added later (1980) were full-size theatres, with the first four ranging from about 150 seats up.
The opening of this location coincided with the closing of the nearby single screen Pacific Theatre that is now the city Performing Arts Centre.
