References and advertisements for the Star Theatre can be found in the Twin Falls News after it opened in 1916. The Film Daily Yearbook of 1928 listed the Star Theatre with 200 seats and the Sanborn Insurance Company mapped it in 1922.
During 1929 the Star Theatre disappeared from the local news and advertisements. The building is one of the many historical buildings that still exist in Kimberly today.
