The Davidson Theatre was opened on October 7, 1946. It seated 491 patrons. The theatre closed in the mid-1960’s. It was demolished and there a small park where the theatre stood.

Actually the Davidson was open until somewhere in the mid-60’s. I remember my late mother covering the picketing of civil rights issues there around 1963 +-.
