Duke Newborn of Meridian, inspects one of the sound “control” boxes at the K and K Drive-In theater which was recently completed. Opening performance Wednesday (July 16) will be at sundown. The Drive-In theater, first in the Boise valley, is located 7½ miles west of Boise on highway 30. Duke is the son of the sound engineer in charge of the installation of the control boxes which are attached to an eight foot wire, enabling car patrons to keep the unit in their auto while adjusting the volume.
