Memorial Hall was showing motion pictures as early as 1918. In 1935 the hall was remodeled and the name was changed to the Pine Plains Theatre which opened on March 29, 1935. By 1957 the Pine plains Theatre was operated by Liggett-Florin Booking Service and they were still the operators when it closed in 1957.
