In Glasgow city centre (across the road from the Charing Cross Electric Theatre) the Theatre de Luxe opened in November 1911, in a former shop unit behind an existing façade. It closed in 1930. By December 1998, when my photograph was taken, Loon Fung restaurant occupied the site.
