The Carteri Theatre was open prior to 1926. The proprietor was Bertram Carteri. The Carteri Theatre is listed in the 1934 Film Daily Yearbook with 450 seats. It is not listed in the 1935 edition.

The San Diego History Center says that the Carteri Theatre was designed by Louis John Gill, who was architect Irving Gill’s nephew. He was a partner in the firm of Gill & Gill from 1914 until starting his own practice in 1919.

Not demolished, just not a theatre anymore.
