Opened as the Community Theatre December 25, 1916, a conversion of the Hamilton Presbyterian Church. In 1928 it was equipped with a Kilgen 2 manual 3 rank theatre organ. It was rebuilt to the plans of architect Oliver B. Wight and reopened as the Avon Theatre September 30, 1933. It closed in 1950. The site is now a parking lot.

The theatre had a 2m/3r Kilgen theatre installed in 1928. Its disposition is unknown.
