Empress Theater

The Empress Theatre was opened August 16, 1913, located at 8th Street and S. Howard Street (today Dart Avenue). It seated 250 and closed in 1928. The site is now a roadway overpass.

This opened on August 16th, 1913. Its grand opening ad can be found in the photo section.

This theater was actually located at 8 South Howard St., inside the Washington Hotel.
