The Northgate Cinema 4 was built in what was a former Big Star grocery store. The four auditoriums had comfortable rocking chair seats and decent sight lines. However, there was one major problem. All four screens were of the shape that cut off the sides of scope features and cropped the top and bottom off flat features. (I think they were called Vista-Vue screens or something like that.) This problem was corrected when digital projection was installed. The theatre now has only three screens. One auditorium has been converted into offices.
