Located in the south of the city centre, a short distance from the Eiffel Tower at the corner of Avenue de la Motte-Piquet and Rue Duvivier. The Cine Magic-Palace was opened on 12th December 1913 with “La Marquis de Trevenec”. It was designed by architect Henri Preslier. It was equipped with a RCA sound system on October 24, 1930. On 9th May 1934 it reopened with a new name Magic Motte-Piquet following an Art Deco style makeover.

The Magic Motte-Piquet was closed on 31st December 1967 with Michelle Mercier in “Indomitable Angelique”, a film which had been banned for 13 years.
