According to the Lewiston Morning News, the Wigwam Theatre opened on July 4, 1930, with a citywide celebration.
The Lewiston Morning News on October 31, 1974, reported the closing of the Wigwam Theatre, which had been operated by Ted and Mary Forth for the last 14 years. The theatre was later demolished and the Forths donated the land to the city for a park.
The Film Daily Year Book of 1940 lists the Wigwam Theatre with 200 seats.
