The 10-screen Movie Tavern Willowbrook opened on October 19, 2007, as their 11th location and third in the Houston area. Movie Tavern spent $5.5 million renovating the former Home Depot that it shares with iT’Z entertainment center.
The Movie Tavern has gourmet cuisine, a full bar, Breakfast and a Flick every Saturday and Sunday morning, and facilities for private parties.
At the end of 2014 Movie Tavern had 19 locations in nine states. On February 1, 2019 it was taken over by Marcus Theatres.
