Located in the suburb of Lockwood, 1 mile south west of the City centre. It opened on 18th November 1915 as the Lockwood Picture Palace; the name had been changed to Excelda Cinema by 1931 when it had a Western Electric(WE) sound system. It is still listed in the 1954 KYB but with a BTH sound system. It closed in February 1960. The premises were adapted for commercial purposes. In 2015 it was home to a motorcycle dealers.
