The Town Hall Grassington in November 2011

Located in Grassington, North Yorkshire, 8 miles north of Skipton. The Town Hall or Devonshire Institute was built in 1855 as a Mechanics Institute and extended in 1923. By 1931 it was home to a cinema, operating three days a week. This had reduced to Saturday only by 1962 and it must have closed soon after that. It is listed as having an Electrocord sound system [on Kalee projectors]. A projector and some artefacts are now in the local museum.

The hall today is used for shows and hosts a community cinema.
