This cinema of the Rue Marcadet near the Boulevard de Clichy was in the north Paris suburb of Montmartre. The 1,700-seat Marcadet Cinema Palace was opened in 1920 and designed in an Art Nouveau style by architect Paul Ausher. It was remodelled in a Streamline Moderne style in 1958 to the plans of architect Lucien Thomas. In 1962 it was equipped with 70mm projection. The seating capacity was reduced to 1,600. It closed in 1974 and has been demolished.
