Located in Alberta City, a neighbourhood in the northeast of Tusaloosa, AL. The Capstone Theatre was opened May 7, 1948 with “The Devil on Wheels”. The theatre boasted a 200 car capacity parking lot.
The Capstone Theatre was listed in editions of Film Daily Yearbook up to 1952, but was not listed in 1957. It became the WJRD Auditorium, named after a local radio station.
