Studio 2

Studio 2 opened as a 3-screen theatre in the mid-1970’s, a few 100m away from it’s twin Studio 1. When that cinema closed in 2004, an extra screen was added in the former cafe. The wall on the street side is competely made in glas, so it could be used for other purposes. A thick black velvet curtain was lowered to darken the room for film projections, which was copied for 2 screens in the Antwerp Kinepolis.

Due to dwindling recipts the theatre closed on 3rd January 2010, and was demolished for student housing in 2014.
