Henry Bishop opened his moving picture theatre around 1912 opposite City Hall. In 1929 a Robert-Morton 2 manual organ was installed. It was transferred here from the Venus Theatre, Richmond, VA. It closed as a theatre in 1935 but by 1941 had reopened as the Europa Theatre. It was closed around 1955. The building still stands, hosting the Shannon Bar since 1956.
