The Address is 30 Memorial Drive. Currently, there is a Wal-Mart on the property and no trace of the drive-in remaining. http://tinyurl.com/pxxhv3t

The Theatre Historical Society on-line archive has the MGM Theatre Report for the Avon Drive-In; it’s Card # 601 on Page 28 of the “New England Special Collection”. But no one filled out the form, so there is no information, only an undated photo which was probably taken sometime about 1946-1951.

Ive been looking for photos of the Avon Drive In, but cant find them anywhere. Of all the years that drive in stood in Avon, no one has a single photo or photos of that theater. I remember going there in the 70s when i was little. I know the front of the screen facing the street said Avon in big letters and “drive in” under it in small letters. The colors were white and light blue. The box office where you pay to get in was almost at the street with trees in between. Back in the mid 70s, the drive in used to use promo cardboard 3 feet by 2 feet posters and put them in windows in the businesses around town. I live in Brockton, Mass. and i would love to find pics.
