The Kursaal is the oldest cinema in Luxembourg. Built in 1908, it has been operating without interruption since then, except for a few weeks in 1940, following the destruction of all other the buildings in the Rue des Martyrs by shelling by the French artillery. Remarkably, the cinema was the only building to survive.
Today, thanks to successive investment programmes, the CineKursaal is at the top in terms of comfort and technical equipment. The ‘prosecutor club’ seats offer more than 125cm spacing between rows.
