In the East Lothian town of Ormiston, at the junction of The Wynd and High Street, the Kinetone Kinema opened in 1934.
The 1940 Kinematograph Year Book listed the owner (a tad cryptically) as Kinetone, Ormiston and there were 498 seats.
By 1953 the owner was M. Renouf, of Musselburgh. The seating capacity had reduced to 400.
The Kinetone Kinema closed in 1958.
By the time I visited, in March 2009, the building was in use as a motor garage.
