The Kino Wrzos (“Heather”) serves the riverside/hillside suburb of Podgorze, in Krakow, Poland. Apparently it opened in 1955, possibly in the shell of an earlier building. The auditorium was renovated in 1976 and has something of Soviet austerity about it, with its green concrete floor.
The interior wood-panelled foyer has some integrated seating (and old cinema seats) and doubles as an exhibition space. The cinema offers a varied film programme plus some intimate concerts.
