Dal-Mar Theatre

The Dal-Mar Theatre was the third name of a location of a theatre that showed silent films. Beginning as the Star Theatre opened on Gallia Street on November 19, 1910. After numerous management changes, the theatre tried a new name - the Exhibit Theatre - beginning February 19, 1913.

In December of 1924, new owners of the theater held a naming contest and the winner was the final name for the location, Dal-Mar Theatre. The theatre didn’t make the transition to sound closing as it suffered damage from a fire on December 27, 1928 and never reopened. It went over to commercial use in 1929 and was later demolished.
