Cine Mondial

Cine Mondial opened on 24th November 1945 with Cary Grant in “Gunga Din”. It was a conversion of and existing building and was a simple flat theatre without balcony, with removable seats so the venue could also be used for dance balls.

The Cinema Mondial closed on 27th November 1966 with “Marco Polo” starring Robert Mitchell and “Gelnn Ford in "Flight Lieutenant”. The building hasn’t changed much. In the entrance you can still see the photo frame boxes.
