Located in the centre of Dresden, to the north of the main railway station. The Capitol Lichtspiele was opened in 1925. Seating was provided in orchestra and balcony levels. It was equipped with an organ (make unknown). In the 1930’s it was taken over by the Ufa chain.
The Capitol Lichtspiele was totally destroyed by Allied firebombs which devastated the city on 13th & 14th February 1945. Today a Primark clothing department store stands on the site.
