Located in the central coast town of Wyong, NSW, midway between Sydney and Newcastle. The Astra Theatre was opened in 1936 and was designed in an Art Deco style by Sydney based architect Aaron M. Bolot. By 1946 it was operated by Tudor Theatres Property Ltd.
The Astra Theatre was closed in October 1972. It was demolished in early-1973 and the Wyong Plaza project was built on the site.
