Southline Drive-In

Located on the corner of Balgownie Road and Princess Highway in Fairy Meadow, to the north of Wollongong. The Southline Drive-In opened on 30th October 1957 with “Picnic”(Kim Novak and William Holden). The Southline Drive-In closed on 24th March 1984 with “Octopussy” and “Flying High 2”. The(vacant and possibly demolished?) site was sold in 1988, and is now a light industrial area.

Flying high 2 was known in the United States as Airplane 2.
