Checked out yesterday…there is evidence of a fire around one of the former front windows, but the structure remains. The tree, however, is gone.

April 2015 streetview shows the building has suffered a fire. I’ll try to verify its existence soon.

Clarence Kaimann was my great-uncle. He also owned the North Twin Drive-In on Lewis and Clark (Highway 367) just north of Halls Ferry Circle.

Made a special trip today (Nov. 9, 2012) to make sure the status of the structure. It is still there! The photograph reflects reality.

Theatre opened late in 1916. Theatre was not one of the St. Louis Amusement houses. Longest operator was Clarence Kaimann, from 1938 to 1953.
