Opened in 1912 on N. Lincoln Avenue at Leland Avenue in the Lincoln Square neighborhood for F.G. Stricker. The theater was originally home to both vaudeville and movies. It is listed as still being in operation in 1921.

By 1923, a music store was at the address. In the 1930’s and 1940’s it was a heating and air conditioning business. The historic Merz Apothecary moved from its original location opened in 1875 to this location in 1982, where the popular Lincoln Square fixture has been doing business since.
