Located on the corner of Maryborough Street and Woongarra Street. The Wintergarden Theatre was possibly opened in the 1920’s. By 1946 it was operated by Birch, Carroll & Coyle who continued to operate it until its closure. It was still open in 1960, but it had closed by 1968. In recent years the auditorium has been floored across at balcony level. The upstairs became a gymnasium retaining all the decorative plasterwork and the upper section of the proscenium. The downstairs has been in use as a Blockbuster video store, which closed in January 2017.

The gym Is called Improvements Gym. The former video library(Blockbuster) area is still empty and for lease.
