Located in Oswestry, Shropshire. The Public Hall was built in 1863 and was designed by local architect W.H. Spaull. It was showing films from 1st April 1909. It became the Picturedrome in 1914. By 1917 it had been re-named Playhouse and operated as a music hall. Continuing into the 1920, films became a part of the programming and around 1929 it became a full time cinema again. It was equipped with a British Thomson-Houston(BTH) sound system.

In the late-1930’s it was re-named Plaza Cinema, but closed around the outbreak of World War II. In 1941 it became the Plaza Ballroom. It was demolished in the 1970’s.
