City Bioscoop

The City Bioscoop was opened on 8th September 1933. It was the third cinema in the area to be built by Geert Hollemans and was designed by architect Jan Groof. Seating was provided in orchestra and balcony levels.

In 1978 it was taken over by another operator and was closed in 1983. The building stood unused until 1986 when it was demolished. A block of flats with retail at street level has been built on the site.
