The Rex Theatre was opened by 1932. It was listed as (Closed) in 1936. It had reopened by 1941, but by 1943 it was again listed as (Closed). It had re-opened by 1950 and was operated by the Kallet Theaters Inc. chain, renamed Kallet Theatre. It was still open in 1957.
