Found It!

The drive-in was located south of Tatum near the intersection of State Highway 206 and County Road 149, Tatum, NM. It is just north of the intersection on the west side of the highway.

Today, you can still see the ramps, entrance/exit road, and the projection booth/concession stand appears to be intact.

Google Maps fought me on this one until I used 14 Sartin Street, Tatum, NM. The old Coyote was a few hundred feet north of that spot, but it’s actually a little closer than the 206-149 intersection.

Motion Picture Herald, July 5, 1952: “R. A. Daniels, operating in Tatum, N. M., is building a 300-car $40,000 drive-in there, to be opened August 15.”

A closer address is 88 State Hwy 206, Tatum, NM.

Google Maps has updated their addresses. This puts it right on the property.
