Located within a heavily Catholic neighborhood, the Irish Theatre acted as both a theatre and community center. Silent pictures were exhibited Monday through Thursday, live presentations performed onstage Friday and Saturday, and Passion plays were presented on Sunday afternoons. Upstairs was a large hall where dances, birthday parties, wedding receptions, and other such events could be held. The Irish Theatre opened prior to 1909, but had closed by 1916. After that the building housed an auto parts store. Structure was demolished in 2002.
